Welcome to the City of Solvang Online Business Certificate Center! All aspects of the business certification process can now be completed online! As a registered user, an applicant can apply for and access the status of a Business Certificate and will have access to reference materials and documentation.

**Existing businesses be sure to enter your portal access code provided on your renewal letter**

Note: The online dashboard can be translated into your preferred language by using the Google “Select Language” drop down feature in the upper right-hand corner of this page.

 

How to Get Started:

 

Renewals:

1. Select "Sign Up" on the home screen to create an account. Enter your email address, password, portal access code, and contact information. You will be sent a verification email once your account is created. Be sure to verify your account to continue.

 

2. Select "View" under "My Applications". 

3. Select "Renew". 

4. Complete application details and select "Submit Renewal". 

5. Select "Pay Online" to submit payment.

 

New Businesses: 

1. Select "Sign Up" on the home screen to create an account. Enter email address, password, and contact information. You will be sent a verification email once your account is created. Be sure to verify your account to continue.

2. Select "Apply Online" and continue with application process.

Prior to submitting your application, please ensure that all fields are completed, and any additional required documentation is submitted. An incomplete application, inaccurate submittals, or applications submitted out of order will delay the review process.

CERTIFICATE PROCESS:

The certificate process is setup in STEPS designed to guide you through. You will be notified when your certificate is ready to proceed to the next step both in your portal account along with email notifications.

 

OUR TIMELINES:

Please allow up to thirty (30) days for the business certificate process.

**Business Certificates are not valid until approved, paid for and issued.**
